I’m proud to present this unique meditation card deck featuring 108 of my White Tara paintings.

Each side of the 54 detailed cards features a unique painting of White Tara ~ a meditation deity revered within Tibetan Buddhism who embodies compassion, long life, healing and serenity ~ together with Tara’s mantra in both Tibetan and English transliteration.

These beautiful 3.5×5 inch cards come in a 2-piece custom box, and can be used for meditation and contemplation, or enjoyed as inspiring individual pieces of art, and are a great keepsake for anyone interested in mindfulness, spirituality and Buddhist imagery.

More about the White Tara Series

Tara (“She who Liberates”) is a Tibetan Buddhist deity who embodies compassion and enlightened activity, manifesting in many forms and colours depending on the specific activity she is associated with. Accounts tell of both White and Green Tara arising from the tears of Avalokiteshvara, to offer their assistance in helping him continuously liberate beings from the suffering of samsara. White Tara practices involve a focus on longevity and health, while Green Tara is renowned as a source of protection and fast action. There is a Tara called upon to remove the physical and psychological dangers of the “Eight Great Fears”, and a glorious manifestation of 21 Taras that all have individual colours, symbolic attributes and focused activities to benefit sentient beings in whatever manner needed.

Lasha’s deep interest in Buddhist philosophies, meditation practices and imagery have informed and shaped her artistic work. One of the most popular and meaningful figures in Tibetan Buddhism – and for Lasha personally – is White Tara. Lasha’s affinity with this Buddha has led her to embark on this artistic journey. Each of the original 108 paintings is unique and hand-painted using watercolour, gouache and pen and ink, on 10 x 10 inch watercolour paper.
